DeepSkyLog Batch Upload (batch-upload) - Licence Terms

Copyright (c) 2026 Metasys (Karol Bryd). All rights reserved.
DeepSkyLog is a trading name and product of Metasys.

1. Licence
   You may install and use the DeepSkyLog Batch Upload command-line tool ("the Software") on any
   number of your own computers, including servers and scheduled jobs, to send information about
   your astronomical images to a DeepSkyLog account. Uploading with it needs a DeepSkyLog plan
   that includes it, or the free trial. The Software is licensed, not sold.

2. Restrictions
   You may not:
   - sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the Software, or offer it for download anywhere other
     than deepskylog.space - share a link to https://deepskylog.space instead;
   - modify the Software, or decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer it, except where
     the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
   - remove or alter any copyright, licence or attribution notice in it.

3. The DeepSkyLog service
   The Software works with your DeepSkyLog account at https://deepskylog.space. Your use of the
   service, including your plan and its limits, is governed by the DeepSkyLog Terms and Conditions
   (https://deepskylog.space/terms/), and the information you upload is handled as described in
   the Privacy Policy (https://deepskylog.space/privacy/).

   The Software reads your image files and never changes, moves or deletes them. It uploads only
   metadata and measurements, never the images themselves. It updates itself from
   deepskylog.space only when you ask it to, and checks each update against the checksum the server
   publishes before installing it.

4. Third-party software
   The Software includes open-source components. Their licences are in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt,
   and they apply to those components in place of these terms where they differ.

5. No warranty
   The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including
   but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and
   non-infringement. Keep your own backups of your images.

6. Limitation of liability
   To the extent permitted by law, Metasys is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or
   consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or use, arising from the use of or
   inability to use the Software. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited
   by law.

7. Termination and changes
   This licence ends automatically if you break these terms; you must then stop using the Software
   and delete it. Later versions may come with updated terms.
